The establishment of a company in Tunisia involves a number steps and requires registration/approval with multiple government agencies. The process is mostly handled through Tunisia's company registration one-stop-shop with each required step having its own desk/window. The following outlines the basic requirements for establishment:

Deposit initial company capital in a bank account opened in the name of the company
Register the articles of association with the Tax office desk (Recette des Finances) and obtain a certificate attesting that a declaration has been filed
File declaration of existence with the Tax inspection desk (Contrôle des Impôts) and obtain tax identification card by submitting the following documents:

A copy of the attestation that a declaration of intention to invest has been submitted
A registered copy of the articles of association
A copy of the minutes of the nomination of the managers if not included in the articles of association
A copy of the manager(s) national identity card(s) or passport(s)
A copy of the rent agreement or ownership certificate of the company office

Submit the following documents with the court clerk desk (Greffe du Tribunal):

2 forms to be filled in and signed by the manager or his/her agent
2 copies of the attestation that a declaration of intention to invest has been submitted
2 copies of the articles of association
2 registered copies of the minutes of the nomination of the managers if not included in the articles of association

Register for social security and receive inspection from the National Social Security Fund
File a declaration with the labor inspectorate including:

Company name, business purpose and address
Particulars of the company managers
Social security affiliation number
Particulars of employees
Details of the residence cards of foreign workers
