The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) recently announced a decision in its favor regarding the diverted profits tax. This is the first time a Court has considered the 40% diverted profits tax, which has been applied since 1 July 2017 for multinationals with global revenue of AUD 1 billion or more (Significant Global Entities - SGEs).
