According to recent reports, the Afghanistan government has decided to delay the implementation of the Value Added Tax Law until 21 December 2022. As reported, the VAT Law provides for a standard VAT rate of 10% with a registration threshold of AFN 150 million turnover per annum and was previously to be implemented from 21 December 2020. Further details on the implementation of the VAT Law in Afghanistan will be published once available.
