On 31 May 2024, Albanian President Bajram Begaj promulgated the law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Italy. The agreement, signed 6 February 2024, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the second month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
