According to a release from the Kuwait News Agency, officials from Belgium and Kuwait met on 26 October 2019 to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues. This included discussion on the approval of a draft amending protocol to the 1990 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries. The protocol would be the first to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
