On 8 May 2024, the Dutch Council of Ministers authorized the signing of an amending protocol to the 2012 income tax treaty with Germany to better facilitate the tax treatment of cross-border teleworkers. The protocol will be the third to amend the treaty and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
