Officials from Peru and Switzerland are scheduled to hold the first round of negotiations from 3 to 6 June 2024 for an amending protocol to the 2012 tax treaty between the two countries, which is meant to bring the treaty in line with OECD BEPS standards. Any resulting protocol would be the first to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
