According to a release from Austria's Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs, officials from Austria and Uzbekistan signed an amending protocol to the 2000 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries on 7 May 2026. The protocol is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the protocol will be published once available.
