According to a press release from the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance, officials from Belgium and Switzerland signed an amending protocol to the 1978 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries on 16 July 2025. The protocol includes updates to bring the treaty in line with the latest international standards, including the BEPS standards. It will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
