Angola Delays Planned Implementation of VAT to July 2019

The head of the technical group for the introduction of a new value added tax (VAT) regime in Angola has reportedly stated that government's planned implementation of VAT will be delayed to July 2019 due to delays in required legislation. The planned VAT regime, which was intended to be implemented from January 2019, includes a standard VAT rate of 14% and would replace the current 10% consumption tax ({News-2018-08-03/P/2-previous coverage}).
