On 1 September 2014, Argentina published the decree ratifying the pending social security agreement with Portugal. The agreement was signed 9 November 2007, and once in force will replace the social security agreement between the two countries signed 20 May 1966.
The agreement will enter into force on the first day of the second month following the exchange of the ratification instruments.
