Argentina Sets New Criteria for Categorizing SMEs

The Argentine tax authority (ARCA) has announced new criteria (limits) for categorizing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises for the purpose of registering as an SME and the related benefits. The criteria include total annual sales limits, total employee limits, and a total assets limit, which are used for different activity types.

The total annual sales limits are as follows, which is the criterion used for most activity types:

  • Micro:
    • Construction: 743,730,000
    • Services: 374,060,000
