The Armenian parliament has reportedly approved an increase in the minimum monthly salary from AMD 55,000 to AMD 68,000 with effect from 1 January 2020. The minimum monthly salary is used as a reference value for certain tax provisions including tax-related penalties, which range from 30 to 1,000 times the minimum monthly salary amount depending on the severity of the infraction.
