According to a release from Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Armenia and Bulgaria met on 28 April 2026 to discuss bilateral relations, with both sides expressing their readiness to advance negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
