The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has launched a public consultation on expanding the requirement to lodge a Reportable Tax Position (RTP) Schedule to large private companies and corporate groups. The RTP Schedule requires the reporting of uncertain tax positions in the income tax return, tax uncertainty in financial statements, and reportable arrangements identified in guidance material released by the ATO.
