The Australian Treasury has launched a public consultation on Multinational Tax Integrity and Tax Transparency, including proposals to limit interest deductions for MNEs in line with BEPS Action 4 and limit tax deductions for payments relating to intangibles and royalties that lead to insufficient tax paid, as well as enhanced tax transparency measures such as public CbC reporting. The deadline for comments is 2 September 2022.
