The Australian Taxation Office has updated its guidance on Working from home expenses, including an extension of the shortcut method until 30 June 2022. The shortcut method was introduced from 1 March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and allows claims at an all-inclusive rate of 80 cents per hour working at home, rather than needing to do complex calculations for specific items.
