The Australian Taxation Office has updated the general interest charge (GIC) rates and shortfall interest charge (SIC) rates for the 2019–20 Income Year. For GIC, the annual rate for July to September 2019 is 8.54% and the annual rate for October to December 2019 is 7.98%. For SIC, the annual rate for July to September 2019 is 4.54% and the annual rate for October to December 2019 is 3.98%.
