According to a release from Mongolia's Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection, officials from Australia and Mongolia met on 31 March 2025 for the second round of negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
