Turkey's Ministry of Labour and Social Security announced on 31 January 2024 that officials from Azerbaijan and Turkey met from 30 to 31 January 2024 to negotiate a new social security agreement that would replace the 1998 social security agreement between the two countries. The new agreement must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
