The Bangladesh National Board of Revenue has reportedly extended the exemption from import taxes on medical products and protective equipment that was provided in response to COVID-19. The exemption is extended from 30 June to 30 September 2020, including for imports of raw materials for such products and equipment by certified manufacturers. For this purpose, income taxes include customs duty, regulatory duty, supplementary duty, VAT, and advance tax on imports.
