On 23 May 2019, the Belarus Cabinet approved the draft law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Sudan. The treaty signed, 10 December 2018, is the first of its kind between the two countries and provides for the following withholding tax rates:
- Dividends - 5% if the beneficial owner is a company holding at least 25% of the paying company's capital; otherwise, 10%
- Interest - 5%
- Royalties - 5%
