On 6 May 2024, the Belarus Council of the Republic (upper house of parliament) approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Equatorial Guinea. The treaty, signed 9 December 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
