On 17 July 2023, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed the law for the termination of the 1993 income and capital tax treaty with Ukraine. The treaty was already terminated in practice with effect from 1 January 2023, but the legislative procedure for its formal termination in Belarus was still required.
