Belgium Confirms 30% Tax Cut for Landlords that Forgive Rent for Tenants Forced to Shut Down due to COVID-19 Measures

Belgium's Federal Public Service (SPF) Finance has issued a release confirming that the Minister of Finance is introducing a new 30% tax cut for landlords that forgive rent for tenants that were forced to shut down the activities due to measures linked to COVID-19. The measure is valid for rents for the months of March, April, and May 2021. For corporate tax purposes, the tax cut is granted in the form of a non-refundable tax credit.
