Belgium's Federal Public Service (SPF) Finance has issued a release noting that the import of goods to fight COVID-19 is exempt from import duties and VAT until 31 December 2022. The release further notes that this total exemption from VAT on imports takes precedence over the 6% VAT rate for the import of masks and hydroalcoholic gels and the 0% VAT rate for the import of COVID-19 vaccines and medical devices for in-vitro diagnostics (testing) for COVID-19.
