Belgium Provides Refund of Excise Duty on Unsellable Beer

Belgium has published the Royal Decree of 16 June 2020 in the Official Gazette, which provides for a refund of excise duty on unsellable beer in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. The refund applies for excise duty on unsellable tank beer, which was put into use between 1 January 2020 until 30 June 2020, and must be claimed by 1 October 2020.
