Belgium has published a Royal Decree of 29 September 2021 that extends the reduction in the wage withholding tax on legal allowances for temporary unemployment. Previously extended to 30 September 2021, the reduction in the rate from 26.75% to 15% is extended by the decree to 31 December 2021. Another Royal Decree of 29 September has also been published that formally extends the 6% reduced VAT rate for masks and hydroalcoholic gels until 31 December 2021 as previously reported.
