Effective 3 February 2020, the Benin revenue authorities launched a new e-filing and e-payment system. As from the same date, the tax withheld by employers on salaries on account of the final tax liability of their employees under the PAYE system, as well as employer-paid social security contributions and the payroll tax (versement patronal sur salaires, VPS), must be declared and paid online.
