Bermuda has published the Payroll Tax Amendment Act 2024, which received assent and became operative on 25 March 2024. The Act includes amendments to extend and revise the employer payroll tax relief for new hires. The relief as amended is explained as follows in the government guidance page on Calculating Payroll Tax for the period April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025. Other aspects of payroll tax are unchanged, including the rates.
