On 22 February 2024, Brazil's Chamber of Deputies (lower house of the National Congress) approved the ratification of the pending social security agreement with the Czech Republic. The agreement, signed 9 December 2020, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
