Brazil Considering Financial Transaction Tax Exemption for the Transfer of Financial Resources between Group Members

According to recent reports, Brazil's Chamber of Deputies is currently considering Bill 7,095/2014, which would provide exemption from the country's tax on financial transactions (IOF) for the transfer of financial resources between members of the same group when the principal amount and related interest are not defined. Currently, such transfers are considered credit transactions and subject to IOF.
