Brazil's Provisional Measure 899/2019 of 16 October 2019 has been converted into Law No. 13.998 of 14 April 2020. The provisional measure, which provided regulations for taxpayers and tax authorities to negotiate terms for the settlement of outstanding federal tax debts ({News-2019-10-22/A/3-previous coverage}) was published on 17 October 2019 but as a provisional measure needed to be converted into law to remain in force.
