Brazil Publishes Normative Instruction on Calculation of CSLL Contribution Rate Increase for Banks and Development Agencies

Brazil has published Normative Instruction RFB No. 1.942 of 27 April 2020, which provides for the regulation of the increase in the rate of social contribution on profits (CSLL) from 15% to 20% for banks and development agencies in accordance with Constitutional Amendment No. 103, approved in November 2019. Because the increase is effective from 1 March 2020, the regulation is needed for the calculation of the CSLL contribution for the ongoing quarterly or yearly period.
