The Government of India has announced that the General Anti-avoidance Rule (GAAR), which was announced as part of Budget 2012/13 has been postponed to 1 April 2013.
The Budget 2012/13 is in the process of being ratified in the Parliament, and was to be applicable when approved in the next few months.
