Bulgaria Implements VAT Exemption on Imports of Goods to Combat COVID-19

Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency has published a notice on the implementation of Commission Decision (EU) 2020/491 on the exemption from import duties and VAT on the import of goods needed to combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The exemption was implemented by way of Decree No. 80 of 23 April 2020 and applies with retroactive effect from 30 January 2020 to 31 July 2020.
