On 16 July 2019, Bulgaria published in the Official Gazette the law for the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2009 social security agreement with Russia. The protocol, signed 4 March 2019, is the first to amend the agreement and will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
