On 10 June 2020, Bulgaria's parliament approved a temporary extension of the 9% reduced VAT rate to books, including e-versions, as well as restaurant and catering services (excluding alcoholic beverages) and baby foods and diapers. The reduced rate will apply from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2021.
