According to a Joint Communiqué issued after the 19th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State of the East African Community (EAC) on 23 February 2018, the Summit has directed Burundi and Tanzania to ratify the EAC double taxation agreement and deposit the instruments of ratification by July 2018.
