On 6 October 2020, Cambodia's National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) approved for ratification the pending income tax treaty with Malaysia. The treaty, signed 3 September 2019, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
