During a recent meeting between officials from Cambodia and Laos, Cambodia expressed its interest in beginning negotiations for an income tax treaty in order to strengthen bilateral relations and boost trade and investment between the two countries. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
