According to recent reports, officials from Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates met on 16 May 2025 to continue negotiations for an income tax treaty, including discussions in relation to the UAE's new corporate tax regime. Any resulting treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
