On 20 July 2022, Cameroon President Paul Biya signed the decree for the ratification of the Inter-African Conference on Social Insurance (CIPRES) Multilateral Convention on Social Security. The agreement was signed on 27 February 2006 by 14 member-states, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo.
