According to a release published on 30 June 2025 by the Paraguayan Information Agency, officials from Chile and Paraguay are expected to conclude technical negotiations in the coming weeks to revise (update) the 2005 tax treaty in line with the latest OECD and UN standards. Any resulting revisions would be the first to the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
