On 8 November 2023, Chile's Chamber of Deputies (lower house of Congress) approved the ratification of the pending tax treaty with the United States that was signed on 4 February 2010. As previously reported, the treaty was already approved by the Chilean Congress in 2015, but was resubmitted for the consideration of two reservations negotiated between Chile and the U.S. to ensure that the treaty is coherent and compatible with U.S. internal regulations.
