According to a recent release from the Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, officials from China and Serbia met on 11 June 2025 to discuss the improvement of cooperation in areas of common interest, including through improvements to the 2018 social security agreement between the two countries. It is expected that improvements will be made through an amending protocol, which must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
