On 12 June 2019, the Colombian Senate approved for ratification the pending income tax treaty with Italy. The treaty, signed 26 January 2018 ({News-2019-03-27/T/6-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
