Colombia's National Tax Authority (DIAN) recently issued a ruling on the tax treatment of operations under a joint venture agreement. The ruling clarifies that for income tax purposes, taxpayers taking part in a joint venture agreement are to report the assets, liabilities, income, costs and expenses derived from the joint operations in their tax return in proportion to their percentage of participation.
