Corporate Tax Cut Proposed in Portugal's 2015 Budget but Most Austerity Measures Retained

Portugal's Budget for 2015 was presented to parliament on 15 October 2015, by Finance Minister Maria Luís Albuquerque.

In general, the country's austerity measures will be retained in 2015, although a corporate tax cut from 23% to 21% is proposed, as well as an exemption for old-age pensioners from the 3.5% special tax on all income.
