Cyprus reportedly ratified the pending income tax treaty with the Netherlands on 4 June 2021. The treaty, just signed on 1 June 2021, is the first of its kind between the two countries and provides for the following withholding tax rates:
- Dividends - 0% if the beneficial owner is a company that has directly held at least 5% of the paying company's capital throughout a 365-day period that includes the day of payment or the beneficial owner is a recognized pensions fund; otherwise, 15%
